More than just a bus driver! Historically many advisors attend NACURH and think of themselves as nothing more than a bus driver. Gone are the days of just sitting in your room with nothing to do that is of interest to you! This year, at NACURH 2008, we want you to know that you are a valuable part of this show! Beyond that which has previously been offered for advisors at NACURH conferences we are pulling out all of the stops to provide a valuable experience for you as well as your students! To accomplish the goal of increased advisor involvement, however, we do need your help! When it comes to programming there will be a full series of ART (Advisor Recognition and Training) programs to enable you to get fully certified during the conference if you want! Beyond the traditional ART programs this year marks the first ever Advisor-U program! With all of the advisor sessions listed above you might think things stop there, but again, we want more! We encourage advisors to submit programs for the standard advisor track programming sessions. These program topics can extend beyond the narrow scope of advising and highlight other relevant issues to housing, student affairs, professional development, or anything else you have to share with fellow advisors! Please take this time not only to support your outstanding student leaders but also to further develop you and to serve as a resource for other advisors across the country! Get ready to take the stage!
